Summertime is almost here and the Morgan Events team is ready for all the excitement of the season. Warm weather, plenty of sunshine, backyard BBQs, picnics in the park, beach bonfires and late night star-gazing are just a few of the fun plans we have this year. But the classic summer activity that we love the most is creating the ambiance for a memorable outdoor culinary feast. New England has clam bakes, the South has crawfish boils and the West Coast has crab feeds. No matter what region, each has a classic summer feast that brings friends and family together. Today we’re sharing images from one such regional culinary feast we planned in Taos, New Mexico. In the middle of the great Southwest, our friends at Componere Fine Catering helped us create a most memorable spit roast welcome dinner for our clients and their guests.

Springtime in California’s Wine Country is breathtaking. The air is crisp and cool, tree buds are sprouting and flowers are blooming. This spring, we had the opportunity to showcase the sweet changes of the season by teaming up with Revel Floral on a styled photo shoot at Campovida in Hopland, California.

Lush gardens abound on Campovida’s property. Design inspiration flowed from the Tuscan Garden and we couldn’t resist it’s alluring charm. An arbor of trailing wisteria became the anchor for the design. We knew that below it was the perfect spot to design a country garden inspired dining area. (Or as the Italians would call it, Giardino di Campagna.) Our goal was to blend our design elements to enhance the existing beauty of the property.

In the garden, we placed a 16 foot king’s table and square tables with neutral linens covered the tables ensuring the bright blooms would pop with color. Coral Peonies, David Austin Garden Roses, Tulips, White Lilac and Pittosporum were nestled in carved stone pottery or gold stemmed vessels. Luscious sprigs of Mock Orange sprang from the arrangements. We chose gold-plated flatware to compliment the floral arrangements and chose an intricate patterned china in antique white. The place settings were meant to be delicate with a touch of modern, reminiscent of the ceramic tableware a country manor house might use for dinner service. Menus were printed with an artichoke graphic and backed with textured fabric adding a simple, yet elegant layer of softness to the place setting.

We hope you enjoy the results of our Tuscan garden inspired photo shoot!
