As some of you may know, our very own Morgan Doan hit a milestone birthday this year! And when milestone birthdays come along and you have a best friend who says, “I’m taking you to Paris for your birthday,” why on earth would you say anything other than “yes please!” (Heather Cleveland, you are the BEST!) Which means that Morgan indeed jetted off to Paris this month and reveled in the beautiful transformation of Paris during the holiday season. A whimsical wonderland, adorned with enchanting lights, festive décor, and an air of sophistication that captivates visitors from around the globe, Paris is absolutely stunning this time of year.
Morgan has compiled a list of favorites from her itinerary to share with all of us and you, our dear reader. We certainly felt transported to the City of Lights when fawning over the hundreds of photos on her camera roll and we hope you do too. We can all agree with Sabrina (1995 film) that “Paris is always a good idea.”
For a taste of Parisian joie de vivre, venture into the Rue Cler, a quintessential market street exuding an old-world charm. Here, the aroma of freshly baked pastries mingles with the scent of melting chocolate and crepes, creating an irresistible ambiance. These are a few snapshots of street scenes around Paris. This is an endlessly walkable city. Everywhere you look is something spectacular. Archways, bridges, gaslights, cobblestone avenues, iron gates and doors (yes the doors!)… these make up the fabric of this architecturally stunning city. When you add Christmas decorations on top, Paris is even more beautiful during the Christmas season.
